Open it, paste your own event log over the sample rows, hit Refresh All, and you have ticket revenue, seat fill, cost and match-outcome reporting without a subscription. Instant download, no macros, no add-ins, and it works in Excel 2016 or later and Microsoft 365 on Windows and Mac.

Dating Events Dashboard in Excel Overview page showing five KPI cards, a Seat Fill % gauge and revenue by event type

Key Features of the Dating Events Dashboard in Excel

  • Five KPI cards on the Overview page – Total Ticket Revenue, Total Attendees, Total Events, Total Matches Made and Net Event Profit, all recalculating against whatever the slicers are set to.
  • A Seat Fill % gauge that reads 65.0% on the sample data (21,192 attendees against 32,592 seats offered), so under-filling is visible before you look at a single chart.
  • Six event types built into the model – Speed Dating, Singles Mixer, Themed Party, Matchmaking Dinner, Outdoor Social and Virtual Meetup – each with its own revenue, seat fill and satisfaction reading.
  • Nine venue types from Rooftop Lounge and Cocktail Bar through to Online Platform, ranked by ticket revenue on the Type Analysis page.
  • Eight cities across three regions (Europe, North America, Asia Pacific) with revenue-versus-cost bars, event counts and regional profit.
  • A dedicated Match Outcomes page reporting matches made, second dates confirmed, match success rate by event type, and second dates by attendance band.
  • Cost and profit columns, not just revenue – Event Cost and Marketing Spend sit alongside Ticket Revenue, so Net Event Profit is a real number ($208,165 on the sample year against $932,486 of revenue).
  • A clean 30-column source table named TblData, so pasted rows extend the pivot range automatically.
  • Age band and attendance band segmentation – 21-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50+, plus Intimate, Medium and Large room sizes.
  • No macros and no external connections – a plain .xlsx that opens without a security prompt and can go straight into a shared drive.

Who This Template Is For – and Who It’s Not For

It fits speed dating organisers running a monthly circuit across several cities, matchmaking businesses that host paid dinners, singles-events companies with a venue mix, community and social clubs that charge admission, and anyone already keeping an event log in a spreadsheet who wants it read back as a dashboard.

It is not for you if you want a ticketing engine – it does not sell tickets, take payments or run a registration form. It is not a CRM or an attendee database, and it holds no attendee names, emails or phone numbers; the sample rows are event-level totals plus fictional host names. It does not connect to Eventbrite, Meetup or any booking platform, so numbers arrive by paste or export, not by sync. And it contains no matchmaking logic: Matches Made and Second Dates Confirmed are figures you record after the night, not something the workbook predicts or scores. If you do add personal data of your own to the Data sheet, handling it lawfully under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or your local equivalent remains your responsibility.

How to Use the Dating Events Dashboard in Excel

  1. Unzip the download and open Dating Events Dashboard in Excel.xlsx. No macro prompt appears – there are none.
  2. Read the five pages against the sample year first so you can see what each chart is meant to answer.
  3. Go to the Data sheet and replace rows 4 to 503 with your own events, one row per event. Keep the 30 headers in row 3 as they are, or rename them and update the chart titles to match.
  4. Fill Month, Year and Quarter to match each Date, and set the five status counter columns to 1/0 – those columns feed the Event Status chart.
  5. Press Ctrl+Alt+F5 (Data > Refresh All). The workbook has no auto-refresh, so this step is not optional after a paste.
  6. Use the Month, Event Type, City and Region slicers on any page to narrow the whole report; clear them with the filter icon in each slicer header.
  7. Save a dated copy per quarter if you want a history – the workbook reports the rows currently in the table, it does not archive them.

Real-World Use Cases

Priya runs a speed dating circuit in four cities. Her Seat Fill % by Event Type chart shows Speed Dating filling only 60.5% of seats against Matchmaking Dinner at 69.5%, so she cuts room size on the speed nights rather than dropping the price, and the Net Event Profit card moves.

Marcus hosts themed parties and wants to know which venue actually pays. Total Ticket Revenue by Venue Type ranks Rooftop Lounge at $236.2K against Beach Club at $46.8K on his log, and the City Analysis page shows revenue next to event cost city by city, so he renegotiates two venue contracts before booking the next season.

Amelia manages a matchmaking business and reports to investors. The Match Outcomes page gives her matches made by host, second dates by room size and match success rate by format in one screenshot, which is the slide her quarterly deck needed and her ticketing platform never produced.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this dashboard make matches or score compatibility?

No. There is no matching algorithm anywhere in the file. Matches Made and Second Dates Confirmed are counts you enter yourself after an event, and every chart on the Match Outcomes page simply aggregates those numbers.

Does it store attendee personal data?

Not as shipped. Each row is one event with totals – seats, registrations, attendees, revenue, cost – plus an event name, a city and a host name. There is no column for an attendee’s name, email or phone number. If you add one, that data becomes your responsibility under your own privacy obligations.

Do I need macros or any add-in?

No. It is a plain .xlsx built on pivot tables, slicers and standard charts. Nothing to enable, nothing to install.

Which Excel versions does it work in?

Excel 2016 and later, plus Microsoft 365, on Windows and Mac. Slicers need the desktop app; Excel for the web will display the pages but slicer behaviour is limited. Microsoft’s own guide to slicers covers the basics if they are new to you.

Will the charts update when I add more than 500 events?

Yes. The source range is an Excel table, so pasting below the last row extends it. Run Refresh All afterwards and every pivot and chart picks up the new rows.

Can I change the event types, cities or venues?

Yes – they are values in the data, not hard-coded lists. Type your own and refresh. Chart titles are text you can edit, so a “Singles Mixer” business and a “Corporate Networking” business can both use the same file.

Is the sample data real?

No. The 500 rows are realistic fictional records for a 2025 calendar year, there so you can see the dashboard working before your own numbers go in.

Frequently asked questions

Which Excel version do I need?
Microsoft Excel 2016 or later on desktop (Microsoft 365 recommended). Many of our formula templates also open in Excel 2013 and Excel for the web - the exact requirement is listed in this product's description.
Does it work on Mac?
Yes. Formula-based Excel templates (no macros) work in Excel for Mac 2016 or later.
Does it work on mobile or Excel Online?
You can view it in the Excel mobile app and Excel for the web, but for entering data, using slicers and refreshing pivots we recommend desktop Excel.
How do I add my own data?
Replace the sample rows on the data sheet with your own (keep the column headers), then click Data > Refresh All so every chart and pivot updates.
Some sheets are protected - how do I edit them or change the logo?
A few of our trackers, data entry systems and dashboards protect sheets so formulas are not overwritten by mistake. Go to Review > Unprotect Sheet - most have no password. If Excel asks for one, message us with your order number and we will share it straight away.
How many records can it handle?
It has been tested with several thousand rows and suits normal small-business volumes. Excel itself handles over 1 million rows.
Is it a one-time payment or a subscription?
One-time payment. No subscription, no per-user fees and nothing to renew - the file is yours to keep.
How do I get the file after payment?
Instantly. The download link appears on screen after checkout, is emailed to you, and stays under My Account > Downloads on our website. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or promotions folder.
Is a user manual included?
Most of our newer products include a PDF user manual in the download. If yours does not have one, message us with your order number and we will send it.
Do I get free updates?
Bug fixes are always free - if something does not work as described, we fix it and send you the corrected file. New versions with new features are not included in the price, unless this product's description says otherwise.
Can you customise it for me?
Yes. Small changes to this template (your columns, categories, logo, colours, minor layout) cost the template price plus $40-80 (Rs 3,000-6,000 + GST), quoted once you send your list. A fully custom build is usually $100-200 (Rs 8,000-18,000 + GST) with two revision rounds. Email your requirements to [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp.
Can I use it for my business or my clients?
Yes, for your own personal or internal business use, for as long as you like. Reselling or redistributing the template is not allowed.
What is your refund policy?
Because these are digital downloads, they are non-refundable once delivered - except when the product does not match its description (report it within 48 hours of purchase) or there is a technical problem our team cannot fix within 72 hours. Email [email protected] with your order number.
How do I get help?
Email [email protected] (Mon-Fri, 10 AM-7 PM IST) or message us on WhatsApp +91 80770 90260 (chat only, no calls). Please include your order number.
