🚦 Direction-aware achievement – 9 KPIs are higher-is-better and 4 are lower-is-better. Lower-is-better KPIs such as Cost per Tonne Demolished score Target ÷ Actual, so beating the target scores above 100%. On Target is 100% or more, At Risk is 95% to 100%, and Missed is below 95%.

Things to know before you buy
⚠️ The YoY Arrow is not direction-aware: its colour follows the sign of the change, so a fall in a lower-is-better KPI such as Unplanned Equipment Downtime Hours (-6.7% in the sample) shows as a red down arrow. Achievement % and the status lights are direction-aware. YTD values are typed into Data.xlsx rather than calculated, and there is no drillthrough page.

⚙️ How to Use the Template
- Unzip the download and keep Data.xlsx in the same folder as the .pbix file.
- Open the .pbix in Power BI Desktop. If refresh asks for the file, use Home > Transform data > Data source settings > Change Source.
- Edit KPI Definition in Data.xlsx: one row per KPI, with Type set to UTB or LTB.
- Type monthly MTD and YTD values into Input_ Target and Input_ Actual (the current and prior year).
- Press Home > Refresh, then pick a month on the KPI Scorecard page.

An operations director at a regional demolition contractor filters Priority to Critical before the monthly review. Six KPIs remain, and the December sample flags Gross Margin % as Missed at 93.4% and Cost per Tonne Demolished as At Risk at 95.9%, so the margin discussion comes first.

What KPIs does the Demolition Services KPI Dashboard track?

No. YTD values are typed into Data.xlsx alongside MTD. The Read Me explains the rule: sum additive KPIs such as revenue and tonnage, and average rates, days and indexes such as percentages.
Does it handle permits, surveys or air monitoring?
No. It reports monthly KPI values you enter, including Permit & Pre-Demolition Survey Days and Asbestos Air Clearance Pass Rate %, but it does not manage permits, record tests or check any regulation. The shipped figures are fictional sample data.
How long does setup take?
You can explore the sample report as soon as it opens. Moving to your own figures means editing the KPI Definition sheet, pasting monthly values into two input sheets and pressing Refresh.
How does it compare with a construction SaaS subscription?
