How to Use the Drywall Contractor KPI Dashboard

2. Set your reporting year. Cell E3 on KPI Input – Actual is the first month of the reporting year. Change it and the whole workbook re-bases.
3. Review the KPI list. Open KPI Definition and edit, rename or remove any of the 14 KPIs, or add your own with a group, unit, formula, type (UTB or LTB) and owner.
4. Enter three sets of numbers. Type your monthly actuals on KPI Input – Actual, your monthly targets on KPI Input – Target, and last year’s results on KPI Input – PY. Only the yellow cells are for typing.
5. Pick a month. Use the Select Month dropdown on the KPI Dashboard sheet. The tiles, the statuses, the trend page and the analysis page all follow it.
6. Work the exceptions. Read the Bottom 5 Performing KPIs list on KPI Analysis, then open KPI Trend for each one to see whether the miss is a one-month blip or a twelve-month slide.
7. Share it. Share the sheet with your controller and superintendent as editors and everyone else as viewers.
